The fallen:chapter 3

Chapter 3

"And who is this?" Asked my teacher as I entered the room with Alex. "This is Alex. He is my....moms friends son and he's stay cause his mom is in the hospital!" I said. Alex nodded his head in agreement. "Okay then. Welcome Alex!" My teacher said and let Alex sit by me.

"Well well nice to meet you Alex!" Said Rennie seating on his desk and trying to win him over. "Come on Rennie! I know your gay but come on! Can't you hit on someone else?!" I laughed as Alex looked at me with a blank expression.

Rennie stuck his tongue out at me and set in his normal seat by me. When class was almost over when Alex turned around to face someone in the back row. "Will you please stop staring at." He said, with that everyone turned to face Alex and the boy that was looking at him.

The boy that was looking at him was Tom. Tom was looking very angry, he stood up and yelled at him and then stormed out of the classroom. "Students hold on." The teacher said and chased after him. I looked at Alex with a worried look. His green eyes looked unmoved by the crazy thing that Tom said.

"I have no idea what he means." He said as we walked to lunch. "Don't worry everyone thinks that Tom has a few screw loose." Rennie said getting some yogurt. We all sat down at our normal table. "But I feel like I've net him before."  He said rubbing the back of his neck.

I looked at Rennie and Rennie looked at me. "I don't think you could've. Tom has been in all of my schools since elementary." I said opening Alex's juice and handed it to him. It seems like he knows nothing of what a normal teen should know. But things an adult should know."Your so weird Alex." Rennie said bluntly.

I punched Him again. I was starting to get angry of how he was saying a lot of things bluntly. The day went on normally and we kinda missed the bus so Alex and I walked home. "Emma?" Asked Alex as he stopped walking. I turned around and looked at him. "Yes?" I asked. "C-can I hold you hand?" The way he asked the question was like a little child asking his mother he can be held. I wanted the squeal at how cute he looked right now!

A light blush ran over his cheeks and his green eyes kept searching the ground. I smile and held out my hand. He slowly took it and walked side by side with me. I smiled at him and started to skip. Then in a flash Alex picked me up and jumped out of the way as a bullet almost hit us!
"What?!" I screamed as he sat me down. I felt Alex tighten his grip on my hand.

"Run to the house!" He said pushing me down the street, and I did so. I didn't look back until I got to the house. My mother wasn't home and I was glad. I turned around and locked the door and ran to the kitchen and got into the closet. "Who would shoot at us?" I asked to the darkness. I hugged my knees and rested my head on them.

Something felt familiar. Something was pulling at the back of my mind. The sound of my father yelling my name in a loving voice. "Emma?" Asked Alex as the closet door opened. I looked up to see that he was bleeding a little bit on his cheek again. "Hey your crying." He said bending down and ran his finger under my eyes.

I gulped and he picked me up. "Who was that?" I asked as we both sat on the couch. "Don't know." He said and walked to his room. I rubbed my hands together and looked at my fathers picture and wanted to cry all over again. What was that feeling? Like this had happened before. "Father....what is this feeling?" I asked the picture frame while grabbing it.

I prayed so much that night for an answer. But of course got nothing. Alex didn't come out of his room for dinner. No many how many times my mom and I asked him. I cut my desk light on and sat at my desk. I opened the draws and removed all of the papers and saw a dark burnt hole at the bottom.

I touched it and it felt like a bullet hole. My door creaked open making me jump and almost fall out of my seat. There stood Alex holding his dinner plate that my mother had set in the microwave, just in case he got hungry and ready to eat. I moved my black hair out of my face and looked at him.
